No. The inputs have protection up to 2kV.

i mean of course it doesn't matter, but somehow you feel more guilty if you destroy something by brute force rather than an accidential programming mistake or something, at least i can say that for me

for what its worth i found a thread with someone having a similar issue:

i tried it with another computer though and it didn't work for me
