Hi
Today I just got my 56 input Module assembled by Dmitri and was amazed when all my pads and cymbals worked near perfect with Superior Drummer when connecting to the out-of-the-box megadrum. Then I started trying out the MCT (MegaDrum Config Tool), loaded all settings from my module and noticed that all pads had MIDI-Note "disabled" in there, so first I tried changing the kickdrum to 36, saved to MD and since then I don't get any reaction on any of the Pads except my Hi-Hat Pedal (simple switch).
Tried booting MD with the "right" button pressed to reset the settings but it had no noticable effect and still doesn't work.
What can I do???

The MCT (MegaDrum Config Tool) is not yet compatible with the current firmware you have on your chip. You need to "downgrade" your firmware to version 20100827 if you wish to use MCT.
see this link for the firmware:

Thx for the info! And how to reset my current firmware? Or do I have to re-write that one as well cuz I fucked it up with MCT? And will it make sense to downgrade? Are the settings then made by MCT kept over another upgrade?
edit: when i go into the bootloader I can't change the MHz no matter what button I turn or press.

Booting MD with the "right" button pressed is the correct step to resetting the defaults, which should have worked. Backtracking firmware is only going to have value if you wish to use the MCT. I don’t know if loading the same firmware version in again would blow away the corrupt data or just attempt to re-assimilate it.
Are you using rotary encoder’s or only pushbuttons? I’m wondering if having "AltEncoders" set incorrectly might be the reason you'r unable to reset the MD or change MHz for firmware download.

You don't need to re-load the firmware, do just as Bean suggested - power up MegaDrum with button RIGHT pressed as suggested
http://www.megadrum.info/content/config ... -and-hints tip 2. Your right rotary encoder has built-in RIGHT button.

when I boot with right rotary encoder pressed just the display contrast seems to be set to 0.
I have AltEncoders set to NO and setting them to YES isnt saved through a reboot of MD...

To prevent EEPROM wear, settings are only saved in EEPROM when you exit MegaDrum menu.

So is the AltEncoders setting preventing me from resetting my firmware?
I know this might sound stupid, but what to do to correctly "exit" the MegaDrum menu?

As described in
http://www.megadrum.info/content/genera ... adrum-menu MegaDrum exits the menu after 10 seconds or you can force to exit it any time as described there as well.
Buttons UP, DOWN, LEFT and RIGHT work regardless of the AtlEncoders setting.
The fact that AltEncoders is set to No, which is default, when you power up with RIGHT button pressed means MegaDrum loaded default settings.
When in the menu, do all buttons work, i.e. you can navigate left and right and change values up and down?

quick press and release of the hihat pedal doesnt exit the menu for me (the VU meter reacts on it)
when in the mnus the rotary encoders work well, but the small UP button seems to be broken...
