Snare configuration issue

Postby tamirgiladi » Thu Jul 03, 2025 10:56 am

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble configuring my snare pad with MegaDrum and would appreciate your help.

Setup details:

Snare pad: Drum-tec Real Feel

Module: MegaDrum

Software: Superior Drummer 3

Current behavior:

The snare head (note 38) works fine most of the time.

The side stick (note 37) is responsive — but sometimes gets triggered when I only hit the head.

The rimshot zone (note 40) does not respond at all, probably not configured correctly yet.

As seen in the attached screenshot, the rim (SnareR) is currently marked as Disabled, yet still triggers.

I'd appreciate any help understanding:

Why is note 37 (side stick) sometimes triggered when hitting the center?

Why is note 37 active even though SnareR is disabled?

What's the correct way to configure the 3rd zone (note 40) for rimshot?

Thanks in advance!

Tamir

On Head/Bow change Type from "3way Roland" to "Dual or 3way Yamaha".

Thanks - the side stick (note 37) is now working well after I tweaked a few more settings.

One thing I still haven’t figured out:
How can I get the 3rd zone (note 40) to respond? It’s enabled, but nothing is triggering it.

Any tips on how to configure that properly?

Thanks,
Tamir

Hi,
Thank you very much — I managed to fix the issue with note 40 as well.
Everything’s working great now!

Much appreciated,
Tamir

Just for everyone else to notice - for the 3rd zone to work the MidpointWidth must not be zero.
